There is one adapter you will need to purchase from your local hardware store to connect your 1948 ProSeries Cart faucet to a standard American hose. The parts you will need can be found at any home and garden store or online.
To make the switch, you’ll need:
To hook your faucet up to a standard hose, you will need to first remove the brass-colored adapter from the bottom of the faucet and set aside. You will not need this adapter to connect a hose. Next, wrap the Teflon seal tape tightly around the threads of the faucet end in line with the direction of the faucet threading. This will seal your threads to prevent leaks.
Now, take your new adapter and connect it to the faucet over the Teflon tape. Tighten it until snug, but don’t overtighten.
The new adapter will allow you to attach the male end of your garden hose to the faucet. Tighten it snuggly, then connect the female end of your house to your household outside faucet. That’s it! You’re good to go.
